Courtney. Awkward. 20. Canadian. Play guitar and piano. Write things. This site has fuelled my fandom problem to the extreme...so...be prepared for that. Lots of love to the friends and family (and fictional characters). They bring meaning to my life.

When did doing something ‘like a girl’ become an insult?

Watch the full Always commercial that seeks to answer this question.

This means a lot. After growing up in TaeKwon-Do, a sport that is dominated by men, you think I would hear things like this a lot. And true, you hear it here and there. But after working my ass off for 14 years to get to where I am now, it’s not something I would take as an insult. And it’s not something anyone there would even think to say because I can show them that when I hit like a girl, I break through boards and win gold medals.

Someone did it. Someone finally portrayed me perfectly in a single 6 second video.
